Candice Wheeler came to Herff from Curington Elementary and teaches 4th grade. Forever a Bobcat, she graduated from Texas State University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in education (specifically Interdisciplinary Studies with her specialization in Early Childhood through 4th grade) and a minor in math. She started teaching to encourage kids in their learning and in their lives. She loves to teach because she loves connecting with students and seeing them through their struggles, to their success. She lives in Boerne with Brent, her amazing husband of 20 years. Together they have 4 children: Ashley (24) will be graduating from Texas State University after the fall semester and starting her master's degree at UTSA, Noah (17) is a senior at Boerne High School, Haley (15) is a sophomore at Boerne High School on the varsity volleyball team, and their youngest, Abby (12), is a 7th grader at Boerne Middle School North. They have 4 sweet doggies named after sweet treats: Waffle, Manske, Jelly, and Crumble.
