Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Music Education Master of Fine Arts, Music Education PreK-12

Mrs. Lisa Luper

This year will mark the beginning of 23 years of teaching elementary music in public schools for Mrs. Luper. She holds teaching certifications in Instrumental/General Music Pre-K to Grade 12, Vocal/General Music Pre-K to Grade 12.

Besides these qualifications, she was named Teacher of the Year at South Georgia Elementary, Amarillo, Texas, in 1997, and again in 2017 at Fisher Elementary, Moore Public Schools, Moore, Oklahoma. Luper was also an integral part of designing “Moore Sings!,” which is the Honor Choir Program for Moore Public Schools. Luper helped rehearse this group and conduct on the performance.

She graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1992. She continued her education and received the degree of Master of Arts-Music in 2011 from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.

Most importantly, Mrs. Luper loves children and seeks to instill in them a love of music and appreciation for the world of performing and visual arts. Students in her classes should expect to sing, play instruments and games, dance, learn to read music, perform in musicals, and learn the music of the great composers.

She feels honored to be able to teach in a place where she can continue to learn from the experience and wisdom of her colleagues here at Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary and from the music teachers throughout Boerne ISD. She encourages everyone to always keep a song in their hearts!
