Mrs Newton teaches AP Physics 1 and Chemistry in D102. She has 29 years teaching experience, 19 years based in Cardiff High School, Wales, UK where she was the department chair for Physics. 

Mrs Newton graduated with an MA in Education from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 2000, a BEng (Hons) in Electronic Systems Engineering from Kingston University, England in 1989 and obtained her PGCE (teaching certification) from the University of Wales, Swansea in 1994.

Mrs Newton moved to Texas from South Wales in the UK in 2013 with her family when her husband's job relocated to San Antonio. The family chose to live in Boerne mostly due to the good reputation of the schools in Boerne ISD. After 3 years substitute teaching for Math and Science across schools in Boerne ISD, she started teaching full time in Boerne High School in August 2017.  Her son, Taylor, and her daughter, Mollie, graduated from Champion high school and then both went to the UK to continue their studies at university, Taylor obtained a BSc from the University of Liverpool, Mollie obtained a BSc from the University of the West of England and she is now a registered nurse.
