Mrs. Tanessa Sawyer

This will be Mrs. Sawyer's sixth year in Boerne ISD.  She will be teaching Principles of Ag, Wildlife, Advanced Animal Science and Livestock Management. New this year- her Advanced Animal Science class is a dual enrollment program with Tarelton Today!!

Mrs. Sawyer has a diverse background in education, including teaching Geometry/PreAP Geometry and Project Lead the Way Engineering Classes at her prior schools, as well as being a Head volleyball coach for 15 years. She feels called to teach and LOVES what she does!

She has a degree in Agricultural Leadership Development from Texas A&M University and has been very involved with FFA in the past, including being the State FFA President in 1996-97 and working for National FFA doing Made For Excellence conferences throughout college.  She was raised on registered Brangus ranches across the state and has a love for all agriculture!  

She lives in Bergheim with her husband, Brett (who also teaches and coaches at BHS) and her 4 daughters, Kinsley (16), Keira (14), Kamdyn (11), and Khloe(6).  She loves spending time with her family, working on her family's land, working out and reading!
