Ms. Amy O'Neill

Ms. Amy O’Neill is a fifth grade teacher at Dr. Ferdinand L. Herff Elementary.  Ms. O'Neill is a veteran teacher with twenty-seven years experience working with upper elementary students.  Before moving to Boerne, Ms. O’Neill served as a fifth grade teacher and a Math Interventionist in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (Houston) and a Fifth Grade Dual Language Teacher in Comal ISD.

Ms. O'Neill received her bachelor's degree in Social Work from Longwood University (Farmville, Virginia), but quickly realized her true passion was working with children.  Upon relocating to Dallas, Texas after graduation, she attended the University of North Texas and earned a degree in Elementary Education. 

Ms. O'Neill settled in Boerne in 2017 with her son, who is entering eleventh grade at Champion High School.  She enjoys reading mystery/suspense novels, traveling, baking and spending time with her family.
