Betsy Medford is a 1st grade teacher at Herff Elementary School. She is so excited to be a part of the Herff Hawk family! Her favorite thing about being in the classroom, is sharing her passion for reading. She hopes to inspire her students to take chances, learn from mistakes and always look for opportunities to grow in her classroom. She graduated from Poth High School in Poth, Texas, and Texas A&M University with a degree in Education.  She spent 5 years teaching 3rd grade with Marion ISD before joining Boerne ISD in 2013. Mrs. Medford taught 2nd and 1st grade at Cibolo Creek Elementary. She taught 2nd grade at Herff Elementary for 3 years before heading back to 1st grade in 2022.  

Mrs. Medford has been married to her husband, James, for 11 years.  They live in San Antonio with their 8 year old daughters Lily and Grace.  Mrs. Medford enjoys having her twin girls with her on campus in the dual language program.  She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading. Her favorite place to be is sailing through the Caribbean on a cruise ship with her family!
