Mr. Robert Kolar

Robert Kolar holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (with Departmental Honors) from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is certified in English, Speech, Gifted and Talented (GT) Studies, and ESL. During his years at Champion HS, Mr. Kolar has taught English I, English I Honors, English II Honors/GT, Independent Study Mentorship, Academic Decathlon, Student Leadership (StuCo), and AP Research. Prior to moving to Boerne ISD, he taught English I, English I Pre-AP, Academic Decathlon, Communication Applications, GT Leadership, and Independent Study Mentorship (ISM) at Taft HS in Northside ISD. While at THS, Mr. Kolar was active as an Advisor and/or Sponsor of Student Council, Book Club, P7 Bible Club, and the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. Mr. Kolar spent eight years in the US Army and twelve years in Law Enforcement before becoming a teacher. He enjoys fitness, running, traveling, reading, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
