Mrs. Shelley Kindred

Mrs. Kindred is thrilled to be fulfilling her dream of being an Art teacher. She has always enjoyed learning about art, visiting museums to view masterpieces, and creating art for fun. She is looking forward to sharing this love of art with her students in the hopes that they will also enjoy creating and expressing themselves through artwork.

This is her 22st year teaching elementary school and her 9th year in Boerne ISD. She has been at Van Raub since it's opening in 2018 and is proud to be a VRES Roadrunner!  

Family is very important to her. Her husband Don is a great sport about being dragged to Art Museums and is gaining an appreciation for Art. Her daughter Simone and son Andrew are both grown and successful adults who live in Dallas and Kyle respectively. Both kids attended Kendall Elementary, Boerne Middle School South, and Champion High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Kindred's home is run by three furry babies named Nina, Daisy, and Henry. For fun, Mrs. Kindred likes to read, paint, swim, and travel. She also loves baseball and football and can be found cheering for the Astros and the Green Bay Packers!
