Mrs. Kelly Summers

Mrs. Summers teaches 11th-grade U.S. History & AP Government & Politics.  She has been educating students since 2011 and absolutely LOVES what she does!  She graduated from the University of Houston with a major in History and a minor in English. She earned her master's degree in Teacher Leadership in 2020.  She and her husband, of 31 years, have raised two wonderful, now married, children.  Their son, Ty, plays linebacker for the New Orleans Saints. Their daughter, Faith, was a collegiate golfer at SMU and is now a middle school science teacher taking a hiatus to be a mom. Besides family & teaching, her passions include old movies, reading historical novels, traveling to historical sites, organizing, and studying nutrition.
