Mrs. Mary Young

Hello all!  This year begins Mrs. Young's 19th year of teaching and 14th year in the elementary Music classroom!  Mrs. Young started her teaching career in 2005 after graduating from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi in the fall of 2004.  In the 1st 5 years of teaching, she was a high school band director in the Texas Panhandle (first in Klondike, Texas and then moving to Amarillo, Texas).  She decided to make the switch to Elementary Music when her daughter was 2, and has loved every minute of it!  She loves to see the wonder, excitement, and curiosity in student's eyes as they grow in their musical journey.  Music is her passion, and she hopes that she can ignite at least a small flame for a love of music in all her students.  Mrs. Young believes that "Music expresses that which cannot be spoken".  She is looking forward to an awesome school year!
