Mrs. Scharnhorst
This is Mrs. S's 5th year teaching Chemistry and Forensic Science at Champion High School. She is passionate about science and how discovery in the science classroom translates into skills important for success outside of the classroom: exploration, critical thinking, and problem-solving through collaboration. Her goal is for students to use these skills to analyze information, ask questions, and solve the problems they will encounter in class and beyond.
Originally from Virginia, Mrs. S moved to Texas with her family in 2011. She & her husband Ed have 2 boys, Max (24), who is finishing his mechanical engineering degree at UNT and James (21), who is a welder & fabricator.
