Mrs. Amanda Klaerner

Mrs. Klaerner attended and graduated summa cum laude from Sam Houston State University in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education (K-8). Since that time, she has added additional teaching certifications in Reading, English, Social Studies, GT, and Special Education. Mrs. Klaerner has taught a variety of grade levels from elementary to high school, but she is passionate about middle school and this is where she has spent the majority of her teaching career. In addition to teaching, she sponsored and coached a variety of school activities, including Student Council and UIL. Mrs. Klaerner has been an educator at BMSN since 2020.

Mrs. Klaerner and her family moved to Boerne in 2007 when her husband, Kevin, accepted a position at the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and is now Community Resource Lieutenant. At the time that they relocated to Boerne, she left the classroom to work with At-Risk Youth in Child Protective Services and Foster Care from 2007-2013 before returning to the classroom. This will be her 19th year teaching.

Their oldest son, Braden, is a 2023 graduate of BHS, now attends Tarleton State University studying Business Management and Criminal Justice, and their youngest son, Logan, is a student at Boerne Middle School North. She enjoys spending time with her family, taking long scenic drives, camping, and reading.
