Justin Hooter

Mr. Hooter is excited about starting his 4th year at Voss Middle School! Mr. Hooter grew up in Boerne and graduated from Boerne High School (the only high school back then) in 2006. After working for a few years and a brief stay in Nashville, TN, he graduated from UTSA with a degree in Sociology in 2019. 

Mr. Hooter will be teaching 7th grade On Level and Honors Texas History. He is excited to help students connect with the people, places, and events of the past and how they impact the present. His classes will be challenged to dive deeper and expand on their thinking through writing, creative assignments, and in class discussion with the goal of continuing to develop as students and members of the community at Voss Middle School.

When he isn’t in the classroom, Mr. Hooter enjoys photography, which has been a big part of his life for the past 18 years. He has taken photos of anything from concerts to weddings and loves the connection to people it gives him. Mr. Hooter is an avid soccer fan and has supported Tottenham Hotspur, a team from North London, since 2010. COME ON YOU SPURS! He enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and playing some video games here and there. Mr. Hooter loves music. Although he doesn’t play any instruments, he enjoys listening to music and attending concerts. Some of his favorite musicians are Jeff Buckley, Jose Gonzales, and Matt Corby to name a few.
