Mrs. Jan Haney

Hello and welcome to the Family Consumer Science Pathway!  My name is Jan Haney and I have the privilege of teaching Principles of  Architectural Design and Practicum in Architectural Design for both Champion High School and Boerne High School!   I absolutely love working with all of our talented and bright students who are aspiring to be in the architecture/housing/design field. 

We will be working toward the following certifications this year:

9th grade:  Career Safe 5 hour training for Interviewing Skills

12th grade:  Chief Architect and LED certifications. 

Here is just a little information about me.  My husband and I live in the Boerne area.  Most of my teaching career has been in Temple-Belton-Killeen area.  I've been married to Greg Haney for 34 years!  My husband works in the banking industry in San Antonio.  We have an awesome son and a wonderful daughter-in-law who live in College Station and work as paramedics.  We are expecting our first grandchild this year!  I attended Baylor University and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor's in Education.   Go Bears!   I've been a teacher ever since and absolutely love my job.  I'm also a licensed Texas Realtor.

I think I have the greatest job in the world because I get to spend time with your children!  They are absolutely worth it and I can't wait to meet you all!
