Mrs. Johnson

Diana Johnson is enjoying her 12th year as an educator and her third year at Boerne ISD.  This is Mrs. Johnson's first year at Boerne High School. She comes to us from Boerne Middle School South where she enjoyed teaching Art.  Before coming to BISD, Mrs. Johnson was a Fine Arts and Special Education teacher for Flour Bluff ISD in Corpus Christi.  Mrs. Johnson follows closely in her own mother's footsteps as an art educator and  interior designer as well as to her father's guidance as an architect and engineer. 

Growing up an architect/engineer and interior designer/art educator's daughter, Mrs. Johnson naturally found herself majoring in Interior Design and Art at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX.  Upon her graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Mrs. Johnson moved to the DFW area and began a fruitful 11-year career as an interior designer.  She worked on site management, environmental engineering, commercial design, residential design as well as remodeling projects. After marriage, starting a family and running a small self-owned art production business, Mrs. Johnson decided to move into education as an inclusion teacher and an art teacher.  Mrs. Johnson has developed a philosophy and style of teaching that helps her reach into her students' hearts to help them feel safe, confident and genuinely cared for.

Mrs. Johnson and her husband recently moved to Boerne to be near their family.  Mrs. Johnson has a son at BHS and a daughter that attends BMSN!  In her spare time, Mrs. Johnson enjoys hanging out with her family, drawing, painting, photography, fitness, hunting, fishing and playing the Ukulele to herself and singing as loud as she can!
