August 13, 2021- The Boerne Independent School District has set an all-time record for student enrollment entering the 2021-22 school year. The district surpassed the 10,000 student mark, and currently has 10,117 students enrolled. The enrollment is expected to increase throughout the school year.
To put the record-setting enrollment in perspective, Boerne ISD had 9,509 students enrolled at the beginning of the last school year and finished with 9,766 students on the last day of school on May 27th.
“We are absolutely ecstatic to set an all-time enrollment record and to top the 10,000 student milestone,” said Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price. “Our enrollment numbers are a direct correlation to our district’s excellent reputation across Texas and the United States, as evidenced by our numerous district awards, and ratings, as well as student and staff success.,” Price said.
Boerne ISD will celebrate the 10,000th student with a surprise presentation at the student's campus next week.
“We have always said that we are a reflection of our community,” Price said. “We are extremely grateful for the wonderful support from our community, and we thank our teachers and staff for their outstanding work. This is a great team effort,” said Price.
