Mrs. Meggie Smiley

Mrs. Smiley has been teaching at Cibolo Creek Elementary since 2020.  She spent 5 years teaching 3^rd grade, 4 years teaching 4th grade and is now in 2nd grade.  She loves teaching and watching minds shape and mold into wonderful readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and explorers.  Mrs. Smiley's favorite part of teaching is when the light bulb turns on and a kiddo gets it!  It is what this is all about!

Mrs. Smiley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Texas State University! She spent 5 years as an outside sales account manager then pursued her passion for teaching by earning her Alternative Teaching Certification from Region XIII EC-6 Generalist. She is a lifelong learner and continues to attend trainings, classes, and learn new things.  Her most recent love in education is bringing in as much technology as she can into her lessons.

Mrs. Smiley was born in Texas, lived all of her elementary years in Michigan, and moved back to Texas for middle school through college.  She married her best friend, Jake, and they have 2 precious little girls, Bridget and Callie and a son Garrett.  She also has a Great Pyrenees named Lacy who her children adore and follow everywhere.

In a nutshell, Mrs. Smiley has always loved kids and teaching has been the most rewarding experience for her. She loves music, sports, and anything outdoors!  Her goal is to always create a fun and safe learning environment for your children and help them grow into the best version of themselves!  She is looking forward to a great year!!
