I am so excited to be here in Boerne ISD.  This is my 26th year in education and my 5th here in Boerne.  Those years include a variety of roles and experiences.  I have done everything including teaching elementary general education, being a behavior specialist, a sped teacher encompassing resource and inclusion, an assistant principal and an esl teacher.  While I enjoyed each position I have had in their season, nothing has ever surpassed my passion for Special Education students - Lifeskills students to be more specific.  I have 6 kiddo's of my own (3 that I gave birth too and 3 that came into my marriage through my husband).  I also have 5 grand children.  Nothing prepared me to be a lifeskills teacher like my son Hunter.  He was born with Cerbral Palsy.  He is now 20 years old and is my inspiration when working with students and parents.  My goal is to empower and equip each student to live their best life.  I want to help them develop awesome dreams for their lives and determine the pathway on which to reach those dreams.  This year I get the priveldge of also being the lead lifeskills teacher in the district.  I am so excited that I get to work with more fabulous kids and awesome teachers. This year will be the best year yet!
