After graduating from Texas State University, San Marcos, Dr. Beto Hinojosa began his education career at Lake Travis ISD where he taught and coached. After receiving his master’s degree in Educational Leadership, also from Texas State, he began his administrative career at Damon ISD, a small community outside of Houston where he served as Principal/Athletic Director. That road led to Boerne ISD where he has been for the last 12 years. Through that time, Dr. Hinojosa has served as assistant principal at Boerne Middle School North, the district’s Title IX coordinator, principal at Fabra Elementary, and principal at Capt. Mark T. Voss Middle School.
While at North, Dr. Hinojosa was selected as the Texas Assistant Principal of the Year, representing our state at the National Association for Secondary School Principals in Washington D.C., and earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. During his leadership tenure at Boerne ISD, his campuses have received multiple TEA distinction designations in academic performance and in closing performance gaps. Most recently, Capt. Mark T. Voss Middle School was named a Texas School to Watch and National Model School for its Organizational Structures and Processes, Developmental Responsiveness, Social Equity, and Academic Excellence.
Dr. Hinojosa is an adjunct professor at Schreiner University teaching School Law and Public School Policy in the principal leadership program and is an active member of the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. He has also served on the board of directors for the Cibolo Center for Conservation, whose mission is to promote conservation of natural resources through preservation and stewardship. In the 2021-2022 school year, Dr. Hinojosa attended the Thompson Executive Leadership Academy, a competitive and prestigious program for top educational leaders in the state.
In his free time, he loves to spend time with his family Mariana, Liam (8), Luca (2), and Annick (1), visit his hometown of Mission, Texas, play basketball, and enjoy the Texas hill country.

With a passion for education that spans over two decades, Eileen Grose brings a wealth of experience to the field. Currently serving as the Academic Dean at Samuel V. Champion High School, Eileen has dedicated 21 years to the world of education, with a significant portion of that time spent in administrative roles.
Ms. Grose's journey in education began as a math and science teacher at the middle school level, where she honed her skills for a decade. Her commitment to shaping young minds extended to the administrative realm, where she spent a total of 10 years as an administrator, contributing her expertise at both the middle and high school levels.
A proud alumna of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), Eileen holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Furthering her academic pursuits, she earned a Master's in Education from St. Mary's University. This diverse educational background equips her with a unique perspective in both numerical precision and pedagogical understanding.
Eileen's personal life is as fulfilling as her professional one. Married for 32 years to Tom Grose, she is a loving mother to two sons, Cameron and Benjamin, aged 26 and 31, respectively. The Grose family is completed by their three Labs – Sophie, Lola, and Gemma – adding joy and companionship to their household.
In 2019, Eileen joined the Boerne Independent School District (ISD) and playing a role in the opening of Capt Mark T Voss Middle School. With five years of dedicated service to Boerne ISD, she is currently, in her second year as Academic Dean at Samuel V. Champion High School, Eileen Grose remains committed to fostering an environment of learning and growth for both students and faculty alike.

Mr. Hatten is starting his 16th year in education. He loves to spend time with his wife, Laura, taking road trips visiting their adult daughter and son, whom both followed in their parents' footsteps serving in the military. Genesis is Army and Thomas Jr., Air Force. He loves going to church, fishing and playing fetch with his dog Majesty. Root for Texas A&M and Arkansas.

Mrs. Haben is thrilled to return to BISD as an Assistant Principal for Champion High School. Mrs. Haben previously taught 5th, 4th, and 2nd grades at Fair Oaks Ranch and Van Raub Elementary Schools. During her time at BISD, Mrs. Haben served as a leader on her campus through various district initiatives and received the honor of Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Haben continued her career as an Academic Coach and High School Assistant Principal to gain various experiences.Mrs. Haben holds a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a master's in English as a Second Language. She is currently attending Abilene Christian University, pursuing her Ed. D. in Organizational Leadership. She is dedicated to being a lifelong learner and pursuing her passion for excellence in education.Mrs. Haben and her husband, Paul, live in the Spring Branch/Bulverde. They own and operate a fitness gym with their son Josiah.
Mrs. Haben looks forward to dedicating herself to the BISD community as a Champion Charger. She is ready to serve with passion and lead with excellence. -

This is Ms. Menchaca's second year at Champion High and third in Boerne ISD. She has been in education for 23 years with the past 10 as a campus and district administrator. Prior to joining the Boerne ISD team Ms. Menchaca spent the previous four years at South San Antonio, most recently as the Career and Technical Education District Coordinator during the 2020-2021 school year. She was SSAISD’s District Science Facilitator from 2017-2018 prior to becoming the Science Technology Engineering and Math Academy Coordinator from 2018-2020.. Ms. Menchaca spent 16 years at Edgewood ISD a classroom teacher, Summer Enrichment Site Facilitator, and campus Instructional Coach. She received her bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Texas San Antonio, Masters in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on Science Instruction from Our Lady of the Lake and is currently pursing her doctoral degree in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. -

This will be Mr. Caughlin’s first year at Champion High School and Boerne ISD. He has been in education for 17 years with the past 7 as a Campus Administrator. He graduated from Baylor University and began his career as a Social Studies teacher and coach with Waco ISD. Education runs deep in Mr. Caughlin’s family, as his wife is also an educator with Comal ISD. Together they have two girls that are involved in sports and other school programs. Mr. Caughlin and his family love animals and enjoy spending their free time either at area sporting events or outside kayaking/hiking.

Mr. Clayton is a graduate of Texas State University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He later earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration Leadership from Sul Ross State University in 2016.
Coach Clayton began has career in education at The Colony High School where he taught special education and coached football and power lifting. He and his family moved to Yoakum ISD and then Bastrop ISD where he taught social studies and continued to coach, before arriving in Boerne ISD in 2012. He has served as a social studies teacher, football and soccer coach, and sponsor of the Bass and Lacrosse clubs.
He and his wife Erin (who is a BISD teacher) have three children: daughter Casey, 2017 Champion graduate and 2022 Texas Tech graduate; son Mason, a current Champion student; and son Riley, who currently attends Voss.

Under the requirements of Senate Bill 107, 84th legislature, TEC 37.0012, each campus must have a staff member designated as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. As a District of Innovation, BISD has opted to designate each administrator as a campus behavior coordinator.
