Denise Harris

The 2022-2023 school year marks the beginning of Denise Harris's 21st year as a special education teacher.  Mrs. Harris has taught inclusion and resource English at Champion High school since 2015 and is currently department chair of the special education department at CHS.   Prior to her move to Texas from Alabama in 2015, Mrs. Harris taught at Fultondale High School in Birmingham, Alabama, after spending eight years as a stay-at-home mom.  Previously, she taught for five years in elementary, middle, and high school self-contained and resource settings after graduating with her Masters degree in Special Education from The University of Alabama in 1994.  She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Judson College in Marion, Alabama, in 1992, and graduated from Falkville High School in Falkville, Alabama.
