Mrs. Mary Whitaker

7th Grade English Language Arts & Reading teacher Mary Whitaker is beginning her 21st year in education. This year marks her sixth year at BISD and her second year serving as the ELAR department chair. 

Her teaching experience has included Comfort ISD and St. Gregory the Great in San Antonio. Being a middle school ELAR teacher has been a passion that brings her much joy. 

Mrs. Whitaker is proud of her Midwestern roots where she was born, raised, attended college, and continues to cheer on her favorite sports teams. 

Mrs. Whitaker is married to Jon, a Boerne High graduate, and they are the proud parents of their two boys, Benjamin and Eli. Mrs. Whitaker enjoys spending time cooking, reading, and being outdoors with her family.
