Alexa Schaefer is a 5th grade English Language Arts and Reading teacher at Kendall Elementary School.  This is Mrs. Schaefer's 26th year in the classroom.  Before moving to Boerne five and a half years ago, Mrs. Schaefer taught elementary school for 17 years in Laredo, TX, and both elementary and middle school for 3 years in Homestead, Florida. Mrs. Schaefer was born and raised in northern Virginia, 20 miles outside of Washington, DC.  She attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
