Ms. Aimee Bain

Welcome!  I'm glad you're here.

Aimee Bain is an Air Force brat who grew up overseas.  As she traveled with her family, she developed a fascination with languages that blossomed into a love of literature and writing.  After teaching in San Antonio, she joined the BISD family in 2016.  When she is not in the classroom, she can be found grading English papers, running, cycling, and trying to keep up with her children's busy schedules.

In English, we focus on writing, as well as speaking and listening skills. We will read examples of great writing and engage critical thinking skills to analyze and persuade. We will focus this year on the analysis and communication skills that students will need to be successful in their lives after graduation. 

In Honors English 1, we will explore a variety of genres of literature while preparing students to take on the rigor of college-level courses in future high school years. 

In AP English Language and Composition, students will tackle the challenge of a college-level course. We will study rhetoric, reading and analyzing speeches and essays of great thinkers. Students should be prepared to work hard, think hard, and expand their knowledge base.

English class is a great place to be!
