Mrs. McCauley was born and raised in Wales, United Kingdom. She is proud of her Welsh heritage and the fact that she is a Welsh speaker and travels back to Wales to visit her mom as often as possible. She has lived in the US since 1989 and has been a proud US citizen since 2003.

Mrs. McCauley is married with three grown children; Connor-27, Marra-24, and Raina-20. She is a huge 'dog person' and has a Chihuahua named Peanut, and three Australian Shepherds named Tango, Tec & Roxy. Mrs. McCauley was a stay at home mom for many years, but decided to pursue a teaching degree later in life; she earned her teaching degree from Kutztown University, Pennsylvania, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012. Mrs. McCauley and her family moved to Texas from the Philadelphia area in the spring of 2014. 

Mrs. McCauley began working for BISD as a substitute teacher in 2015. She had several long term jobs at CCES before joining the fourth grade team as a math and science teacher in 2016. She taught 5th grade math and science for the 2019-2020 school year, but has been back 'home' in fourth grade since the 2020-2021 school year.  

Mrs.  McCauley has a passion for instilling a love of learning in her students, and she enjoys the challenge of finding fun and engaging ways of incorporating technology into her daily lessons.
