Mrs. Monica Castilleja

Monica Castilleja is beginning her eleventh year teaching and it is her eighth year at Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary. She has taught Kindergarten for two years, first grade for eight year and this will be her first year teaching Pre-K. Mrs. Monica graduated from Angelo State University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6. She holds certifications in GT, Special Education and English as a Second Language.

Mrs. Monica is married to her husband, AJ, who is a OR Nurse. Mrs. Castilleja also has a fun, loving, and energetic 5-year-old son named Tripp who will be attending Kindergarten at FORES. He loves Superheroes and space. When not at school she loves to spend time with her family, being outside, going on trips and playing with her dog Annie. 

Mrs. Monica is looking forward to welcoming all her Pre-K students. Pre-K will be such a fun year with so many wonderful learning activities. Mrs. Monica's most important goal is to create a family of learners in her classroom. She is committed to creating a classroom environment where every child is a valued, trusted, loved and integral part of the classroom family.
