Are you passionate about public education and eager to learn more about Boerne ISD? The Boerne ISD Community Leadership Academy is your opportunity to go behind the scenes and gain a deeper understanding of how our district operates—and how we’re shaping the future for every student.

This exciting, hands-on program is open to local residents and business owners who want to connect, learn, and lead. Over the course of five, half-day sessions from October 2025 to March 2026, participants will experience campus and facility tours, engage in conversations with district leaders and School Board members, and dive into the programs and priorities that make Boerne ISD exceptional.

Session Dates

The session dates for the Community Leadership Academy are:

  • Tuesday, October 7, 2025
  • Wednesday, November 12, 2025
  • Saturday, January 24, 2026 (C134 & C135)
  • Wednesday, February 11, 2026
  • Wednesday, March 4, 2026

All sessions will be held in the Boerne ISD Board Room (235 Johns Road) from 8:00 AM  to  1:30 PM.

  • The role of the Board of Trustees in driving academic and fiscal excellence
  • How district operations support student learning every day
  • An overview of innovative programs and curriculum initiatives
  • Key topics including:
    • Budget and finance
    • Campus safety and security
    • Whole-child education
    • College and career readiness

Apply for the CLA

Participation is free and open to those who live in or own a business within Boerne ISD boundaries. Applications and recommendation letters will be accepted until August 29, 2025.  Selected participants will be notified via email no later than September 15, 2025.
