ADA Accommodations
Boerne Independent School District provides equal access and opportunity to job applicants and otherwise qualified persons with disabilities in compliance with Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008. The District prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in all aspects of the application process and the employment relationship as outlined in DAA (LEGAL).
The District conducts an individualized assessment of each accommodation request. This means, no matter how similar the circumstances, no two cases are identical.
The district will provide reasonable accommodations to employees with a disability if the accommodation would allow the individual to perform the essential functions of their job, unless doing so would create an undue hardship. An employee or their supervisor may initiate a request for accommodation by contacting Tina Martin, HR Specialist-Benefits, at 830-357-2073 and identifying an adjustment or change at work that is needed because of a disability.
