Dear Boerne ISD Family,
I am excited to share the Boerne ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the district's 2026-2027 Compensation Plan at its June 15 meeting, continuing our commitment to investing in the people who make a difference for students every day.
Attracting and retaining exceptional employees remains one of our highest priorities. We know that experience matters, and we are committed to ensuring Boerne ISD remains a destination district where talented educators and staff choose to build their careers.
2026-2027 Compensation Plan Highlights
Teachers, Nurses, Librarians, and Instructional Coaches
- Employees in Steps 5-40 will receive a pay increase of 3.4% or greater over the prior year.
- Employees in Steps 1-4 will receive a 2% increase over the prior year.
- View the 2026-2027 salary schedules here.
All Other Employee Groups
- All remaining employee groups will receive a 2% pay increase over the prior year.
Expanded Pre-K Benefit for All Employees
Last year, House Bill 2 eliminated Pre-K tuition for the children of classroom teachers. For the 2026-2027 school year, Boerne ISD is expanding that benefit to all full-time employees. Eligible employees may enroll qualifying children in Boerne ISD Pre-K at no cost, representing a potential savings of approximately $675 per month.

Investing in Our People
This compensation plan reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting employees while maintaining strong financial stewardship. Over the past two years, Boerne ISD has made significant investments in employee compensation, healthcare contributions, staffing support, stipends, and pay scale improvements. These efforts have helped reduce vacancies, strengthen recruitment and retention, and ensure that resources are directed where they matter most, supporting students and those who serve them. Learn more about the district's ongoing investments in employee compensation and benefits since 2024 here.
Thank you for your dedication to our students, families, and community. We appreciate all that you do and are proud of the difference you make every day. Together, we are setting the course for every student to have a brighter, stronger future.
Sincerely,
Kristin Craft, Ed.D.
