Public Information Requests

Boerne ISD welcomes information requests as they apply to the Texas Public Information Act and the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act. 

Please be advised, roughly 95% of BISD employees have restricted the release of directory information in accordance with the law, and a majority of BISD students have restricted the release of directory information. 

Please note, laws do not require a governmental entity to create or compile information that does not exist. BISD is only required to provide copies or allow inspection of existing information.

In Texas, non-business days for purposes of the Public Information Act (PIA) are formally defined by House Bill 3033. They include weekends, national holidays, and state holidays.  Additionally, a district can designate up to 10 more non-business days per calendar year.  The Boerne ISD Board of Trustees has designated the following days as District "non-business days":
