Records Request

In the District, the principal is the custodian of all records for currently enrolled students at the assigned school. The District Registrar is the custodian of records for students who have withdrawn or graduated.

A subpoena for personnel records, including personnel file, applications, benefits records, and compensation records, will be served to the Human Resources Office, attention to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Please contact Human Resources 830.357.2000 for further assistance.

A subpoena for payroll records, including salary and tax forms, will be served to the Human Resources Office, attention to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Please contact Human Resources 830.357.2000 for further assistance.

For non-student or non-campus records, the Human Resources department is the custodian of record for the department’s records unless otherwise noted. For example, a subpoena for a vendor contract will be served to the Human Resources department, while a subpoena for police records will be served to the Police Department.

Current students, please request a copy of immunization records from the campus registrar.

Please be advised that BISD does not retain or provide immunization records for former students. To obtain such records, please contact your physician or the health department of the state in which the records were issued.
