Maintenance Department
Our Mission
We will provide quality learning environments in support of student success through pride in craftsmanship and commitment to customer service, while being good stewards of district resources.
Our Department
Under the direction of Mr. Gilbert Salinas, the Maintenance and Grounds Departments are dedicated to caring for the buildings and grounds of BISD, keeping the school facilities safe and accessible in support of student learning.
Our Maintenance Department maintains 1,743,408 sq. ft of buildings, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and fire alarms.
Our Grounds Department mow 513 acres and maintain all exterior BISD properties including but not limited to fencing, sidewalks, landscaping and pest management.
We deliver service using a work order system and complete an average of 5307 work orders each year.
