Energy Management

The Boerne ISD program has garnered national attention, earning nine ENERGY STAR® Certifications for efficiency from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR program. These recognitions place the buildings in the top 25 percent of the most efficient of their type in the nation. Each building is benchmarked against peers for energy use as well as occupant health and comfort.

Energy management is the most effective method available to minimize the continually rising cost of energy consumed in buildings. By applying effective energy management practices, energy waste can be eliminated. Cost Avoidance Dollars = more money for the classroom.

Recording and Reporting of Utility Consumption

In response to House Bill 3693. Section 8, the District shall record in an electronic repository the metered amount of electricity, water or natural gas consumed for which the District is responsible to pay and the aggregate costs of those utility services.
