Boerne ISD has a registered nurse on each campus. As the main health contact in the school setting, school nurses play a pivotal role in bridging healthcare and education. The health status of our students has a direct impact on their ability to learn and meet educational goals.

School nursing is a professional nursing specialty committed to lifelong learning. Our registered nurses support student success by providing health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children and staff within the school setting.

The school nurse serves as a liaison between school personnel, family, community and healthcare providers to advocate for students, facilitate learning, and improve safety.
