Immunizations
State law requires each student to be fully immunized to be enrolled in public school. The Texas Department of State Health Services outlines these vaccine requirements each year.
To claim an exclusion for reasons of conscience, including a religious belief, the child's parent or legal guardian must provide a completed, signed, and notarized affidavit provided by the state. The affidavit will be valid for two years from the date of notarization. The affidavit may be requested HERE.
A student who has not received the required immunizations for reasons of conscience may be excluded from school in times of emergency or epidemic. (Texas Education Code 38.001)
