What is your favorite part of your position?
The people! I'm inspired every day by our students, teachers, parent volunteers and community members who share their talents to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
 
Tell us about your family and pets:
Parents are Retired Educators, 3 sisters, 1 brother-in-law, 3 nieces, big extended families make the holidays fun. No pets of my own, but a neighbor's cat likes to visit. :)
 
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
Travel, Be Outdoors, Cook, Piano, Church
 
What was your favorite subject in school?
Math- I always helped my friends with homework in high school and college. I started my career as a high school math teacher.

What is something unique about you?
I lived in 6 towns before I graduated from High School. I learned there are good people everywhere and true friendships overcome time and distance.

Ms. Sharon Wotipka

Counselor

Ms. Wotipka grew up in Beaumont, Texas.  She graduated from the Lamar University with her Bachelor’s in Education and Sam Houston State University with her Master’s in Counseling.  Ms. Wotipka has served 22 years as a secondary level teacher and 5 years as an elementary counselor.  Wanting to make a difference in the lives of children was the driving force for her to become an educator.

Ms. Wotipka is passionate about advocating for students and believes in focusing on the Whole Child. She believes that whenever children feel good about themselves and their relationships with others, they are more successful in school.  One of her goals for this year is working with our students, teachers, and parents to build a culture of caring at FORES.

Ms. Wotipka is married to her husband Paul, and they have four children and two grandchildren. During her spare time, she loves spending time at the beach, reading a great book, and listening to music.

Ms. Wotipka is excited to be joining the Mustang Family in Boerne ISD!

Deb Beck was born and raised in San Antonio, TX.  Deb's heart has always been drawn towards working in the education field and she is excited to be at FORES.

She and her husband Billy have been married 33 years and have 2 daughters. They are blessed with 2 adorable grandsons. In her free time Deb loves to garden, antique and spend time with her family.

She knows this is going to be a great school year!

What is your favorite part of your position?

Working with so many amazing students, staff and parents. It’s an amazing feeling to be around so many people that have a child’s best interest at heart.

Tell us about your family and pets:

My husband and I have been married since 2005. Our families are both from Floresville so we get to see them often. We also have a daughter who attends FORES. Our pets include 2 lab puppies, a cat, 3 fish and a snail.

What do you like to do when you're not at school?

Anything with my family, travel, read fiction novels, be outdoors when it’s not too hot

What was your favorite subject in school?

Math- It was always my favorite subject in school. I thought I wanted to be a math teacher until I realized I would have to teach “big” kids.

What is your favorite book?

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

What is your favorite food?

Sea food – shrimp, salmon, fish, etc.

UT Longhorns

What is something unique about you?

I was born in Columbus, Ohio and lived there until the summer I started 4th grade. The Texas heat was a shocker when I moved in July!

Maria Bradley was born and raised in Austin, TX. 

Maria worked with the Austin Independent School District for 16 years.  She recently relocated to San Antonio and has always enjoyed working in education.  

Maria has two adult children who live in Austin and two dogs. When Maria is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and enjoys many activities such as sports, hiking, biking, running and water activities.

She is happy to be part of the FORES family.

Ms. Zuercher grew up in Houston, Texas.  She has a Bachelor of Business degree from Sam Houston State University.  After graduating Ms. Zuercher worked in Commercial Insurance. She soon realized that her true calling was to work with children.  She began working for Katy ISD.  Ms. Zuercher has served 11 years as a secondary level Attendance Secretary for Katy ISD before joining Boerne ISD. 

Ms. Zuercher has been married 24 years to her husband Allen.  She has two daughters who both attend Texas State University.  During her spare time, she loves spending time traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Karen Cluck

Nurse

Nurse Karen Cluck is a BSN, RN. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin Nursing School and has 35 years of nursing experience. Nurse Cluck has worked as a school nurse for the past 12 years. She and her husband have lived in Fair Oaks Ranch for 17 years. Her two sons attended FORES and Boerne Schools. Nurse Cluck loves the Fair Oaks Ranch Community and enjoys the outdoors and hiking.
