  • The Kindling Written by Jennifer Armstrong and Nancy Butcher, this novel is the first in a new dystopian series.  After a plague has killed off all adults in the world, and the children left behind starved or died of disease. Now only 7 children remain.  They live in a run-down house in Florida and have little or no memory of Before Time.  They form a new family and try to survive but are shocked when another survivor shows up.   He convinces them to set out for Washington in search of President, whom he hopes is still alive.
This post-apocalyptic tale is full of adventure and will have you hungering for the second installment.  Surprisingly believable, and strangely captivating, if you like dystopian books, you will want to check this one out!!
