Master Sergeant Jody Russ

Master Sergeant Jody Russ is the Aerospace Science Instructor for Boerne ISD serving cadets at Boerne and Samuel V. Champion High Schools.  He is a 20 year United States Air Force retiree.  Jody entered the Air Force in March 1981 and retired in March 2001.  His military occupations include Security police, technical training instructor and first sergeant.  His assignments include Kunsan Air base, Republic of Korea, Brooks Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX., Misawa Air Base, Japan, Castle Air Force Base, CA., Coronet Aspen, Egypt and Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX.  His military awards and decorations include the meritorious service, commendation, achievement, southwest Asian service medals just to name a few.  Upon his retirement Master Sergeant Russ entered the AFJROTC career at Leander High School in Leander, TX for the 2001-2002 school year.  He then assumed his current position in the 2002-2003 school year.  Master sergeant Russ holds a Bachelors of science degree in Occupational Education with a specialization in Corporate Training and Development from Wayland Baptist university, Plainview Texas.  He also holds Community College of the Air Force Associates Degrees in Criminal justice, Instructor of Technology and military science and Human Resource Management.  He is a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a certified health coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.  Master sergeant Russ is also a published author.  His book, “Nutrition Relationships, A Practical guide to discovering Your Unique Nutritional Needs”, is available on  Master Sergeant Russ enjoys working in art (Pencil Drawing), writing song lyrics, poetry, singing and playing the piano.
