Ms. Briana Reitenga

Ms. Reitenga is the Orchestra Director at Boerne Middle School South.  This is her 2nd year with Boerne ISD.  Before moving to Boerne, Ms. Reitenga taught in Plano ISD.  Ms. Reitenga earned her Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, and her Master's Degree in Violin Performance from Ball State University in Muncie, IN.  She has spent many years as a professional violinist and violist, private instructor of violin and viola, and public school orchestra director.  She has been playing the violin for 28 years.  While in school, Ms. Reitenga was a member of the Bethany Piano Trio, the Bethany College Oratorio Society, the Ball State Graduate Piano Trio, the Ball State New Music Ensemble, and the Ball State Pocket Opera, to name a few.  She has served in leadership positions as section leader or concertmaster in many of the orchestras she has worked for.  Ms. Reitenga has extensive performing and recording experience in all genres of music.  Her violin playing has also been featured in an Emmy award winning documentary about black baseball in Indiana.

When Ms. Reitenga is not practicing, performing, or teaching, she enjoys spending time with her two kitties, playing board games, and reading.
