Dr. Sara Ranzau
Dr. Ranzau is new to BISD and has been teaching English at the high school level in Kerrville for the past four years, and is thrilled to finally be teaching in her hometown of Boerne. For the past decade, Dr. Ranzau has taught ELA/R and theatre to students all over the western part of Texas. She has taught in the smallest public high school in the state in Valentine, on the border in Del Rio, and in the hill country. She has a passion for literacy and earned a doctorate in the field of education with a focus in reading and literacy.
Her passion also extends to her participation in several professional organizations devoted to helping teachers become better educators in the field literacy.
Dr. Ranzau lives in the Boerne area with her husband, two sons, and pets. She loves to read, explore caves, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends. She is looking forward to working with the 6th graders at BMSN in her reading classes.
