Mrs. Mitsue Dean

Mrs. Dean began teaching at Boerne ISD in 2008 at Cibolo Creek Elementary.  She is now the Dyslexia Specialist at Herff Elementary. Mrs. Dean has been working with students since 1994.

Mrs. Dean was born in Wakkanai, Hokkaido, Japan, but came to the U.S. when she was a young girl.  Later, she completed both her BA and MA degrees at UTSA. She and her husband Mark first met in second grade. They were married in 1991 and have a son who attended Champion High School and is a recent graduate of Trinity University. Outside of school, Mrs. Dean enjoys exploring new restaurants, reading, hiking and yoga.
