Mrs. Leslie Rutherford

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Leslie Rutherford

Mrs. Rutherford is Cibolo Creek Elementary’s PPCD/Pre-K teacher.  She is entering her 8th year of teaching, and her 5th year of teaching the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities.

After graduating from Saint Mary’s University in San Antonio, Mrs. Rutherford went on to work for several years as the director of a non-profit community education program; however, it didn’t take long for her to realize she wanted to be in front of the classroom, not behind the scenes!  After a series of serendipitous events and mishaps, Mrs. Rutherford ended up in her first PPCD classroom, and she’s never looked back. She feels truly called to this campus and this classroom!

When she’s not wrangling a class full of Cibolo Creek preschoolers, Mrs. Rutherford is busy at home herding her own 2nd grader and 8th grader.  She has been married to her husband for 14 years, and they share their home with three shih tzus and a rather aloof cat. If not at school or at home, Mrs. Rutherford can be found at the barn with her horse/therapist, Seven.
