Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Julie Ann Bray
Ms. Bray teaches third grade at Cibolo Creek Elementary. She has been teaching in Boerne for twenty-one years, the last twelve at CCES and before that at Fabra Elementary. Her grade level teaching experience includes one year in 2nd grade, and a total of 20 years shared between 3rd and 4th grade. This year she will be teaching math and science to her homeroom class and to Mrs. Ward's homeroom. She is very passionate about teaching math and strives to instill that same love in her students.
A native Texan, she grew up in San Antonio where she attended John Marshall High School and later attended UTSA where she received a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Kinesiology. After completing her student teaching at Fabra Elementary in 1997, she was employed by BISD and has been teaching there ever since.
Ms. Bray has two grown children that attended BISD starting in Kindergarten through their high school graduation. Both children live and are employed in San Antonio, where her daughter is also a teacher.
If you ask her what she loves best about teaching, she would say it's still about the children. Through all the growth and changes that Boerne has experienced in the last 20 plus years, the kids remain the constant. Her desire for every child who comes through her class is to feel safe and loved and to love learning!
