Amy Morton

  • Amy Morton is the PPCD, PreK and ECC teacher at Van Raub Elementary School.  She was previously at Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary in a similar role. She is entering her 25th year in education, teaching dance and color guard at various high schools and colleges most of her life.  She has taught creative movement and dance therapy to children with special needs in assorted roles throughout her career. Amy is dedicated to helping and educating children that need extra support and she is faithful to the children and families of this community  She is also the color guard director at the University of Incarnate Word.


    In her free time, she has an unusual passion for the outdoors, including hiking, kayaking and cave exploring.   She is the Vice Chair of the Texas Speleological Society and sits on the board of the Texas Cave Management Association.  She has been on numerous expeditions internationally, including to the deepest cave system in the western hemisphere, Sistema Huautla in southern Mexico, where her team was featured in an article in National Geographic.
