Mrs. Stephanie Edmondson
This year marks Stephanie Edmondson's 14th year of teaching in Boerne ISD, each one of them in 3rd Grade. Before joining Boerne ISD, she taught kindergarten at Randolph Elementary and 2nd Grade at Rahe-Bulverde Elementary in Comal ISD. She is a graduate of The University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Reading. Mrs. Edmondson is a native Hill Country resident and lives in Kendalia with her family and an assortment of animals and pets. She is married with three daughters.
Mrs. Edmondson believes that teachers are born with the ability to impact and change someone’s life and doesn't ever want to waste a moment. Every single day that she walks through her classroom door she searches for a new way to celebrate kiddos. How can she support a feeling of accomplishment and success?? What can she do to build her kiddos UP so that they will take risks and accept their ‘failures’ as a challenge to pick themselves up to try again another day?? How can she create in them a reader, a learner, a dreamer, and a believer?? Mrs. Edmondson hopes that the activities she does, lessons she prepares, or the books she reads will cause her kiddos to think, and then wonder, and finally question. Above all, she aims to create a classroom family that honors kindness, empathy and the differences among us all. If she had a magic wand or a superpower, she would wish that every one of her students could catch a glimpse of themselves through her eyes… that they ARE smart and they ARE important, and that they ARE loved.
