Mr. Joseph Johnson

Mr. Johnson will be teaching for the first time, as a 2nd grade teacher at Cibolo Creek Elementary School this upcoming year.  Mr. Johnson graduated from Oliver Wendell Holmes High School in San Antonio and went on to graduate from The University of Texas San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1988. After graduation, Mr. Johnson worked as a long-term substitute teacher while seeking a career aligned with University studies. Mr. Johnson was asked by two principles to obtain his teaching certification and in 1991 Mr. Johnson became a certified teacher with a concentration in mathematics. Before being able to pursue a career in teaching Mr. Johnson was hired to work for the federal government and retired this past October after 27 years returning to Texas. Mr. Johnson also attended graduate school at Troy State University, graduating with a Master of Education degree in 2001.


Though Mr. Johnson taught classes throughout his previous 27-year career, Mr. Johnson returned to elementary school teaching this past year at CCES as a long-term substitute in 5th grade math falling back in love with his true passion. Mr. Johnson brings a unique personality derived from a previous career of dealing with people from around our great country, as well as government leaders having spent 13 years in the Washington, DC.


Mr. Johnson has been married to his lovely wife for 19 years and they live in Boerne, Texas.
