Karen has been teaching for 22 years with 15 years at Fabra Elementary.  She served in the USAF for 4 years and has traveled to many places as an Air Force dependent.  Her grandson is at Marshall HS in San Antonio and she has a 4 year old grand daughter here at Fabra.  Teaching is a passion for Karen and she came out of retirement to continue her career.
