Mrs. Heather Salinas

Mrs. Salinas is excited to start her second year at Boerne High School! She previously wrote copy for a weekly newspaper and later joined an in-house advertising agency as a Lead Writer/Graphic Designer. Most recently Mrs. Salinas was an adjunct professor at Alvin Community College teaching writing and public speaking. She holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Southwestern University and a master's degree in journalism from Quinnipiac University. She also played four years of college basketball while at Southwestern University. Go Pirates!

In her free time Mrs. Salinas enjoys hiking, camping, playing basketball, reading and spending time with her husband, Chris, and their four children: Savannah, Slade, Crew and Cage. The family also has a Bernese Mountain Dog, 2 cats and 2 lovebirds. Mrs. Salinas is thrilled to have the opportunity to teach so many talented and interesting students at Boerne High! 

Mrs. Salinas teaches both AP Seminar and AP Research, Art I and is also the yearbook adviser. She also serves as the campus webmaster and is an AP Reader for AP Seminar.
