Mrs. Andria Burton

This is Mrs. Burton's nineteenth year in public education and first year at Herff Elementary.  Mrs. Burton has worked in a variety of roles in education, including 3rd and 6th grade classroom teacher, elementary and middle school librarian, and Assistant Principal at a middle school.  Mrs. Burton also worked as a Library Director at the Metro Campus of Tulsa Community College for three years.  Mrs. Burton holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas in San Antonio, a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Texas in Austin, and a Master of Education in School Leadership from Wilmington University in Delaware.  Teaching and learning is a passion of hers, as she continues to attend workshops, participate in professional learning networks, and read professional books and journals.

Mrs. Burton has a husband and two grown daughters.  Her older daughter works in Austin as a mobile app designer, and her younger daughter is a 5th grade math teacher in San Antonio.  Mrs. Burton enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, and boating on the family's pontoon boat.  She also enjoys travelling and has been to all but seven states.
