Mrs. Lauren Rice

Lauren Rice graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and began teaching in the DFW metroplex area after graduation. In her 9 year career she has had the opportunity to teach 5th grade Science and Social Studies, 6th grade Math and Science, in addition to being a Math Interventionist at an elementary campus. In her previous district, she served as a Science Curriculum Writer and district STEM Trainer. Mrs. Rice has a passion for teaching and loves to bring the content alive to her students using innovative practices and hands-on learning. She is excited to be teaching 7th grade science this coming school year.

Mrs. Rice and her husband are both originally from San Antonio and love living in the Texas hill country. They have 2 daughters, Lucy (3 years) and Joanna (5 months). In her free time, Mrs. Rice enjoys volunteering with Young Life and church, cooking, being outside, and drinking overpriced coffee with great friends.
