Mrs. Heather Maples

Mrs. Maples is beginning her 27th year teaching kindergarten!  She is thrilled to be a part of the Cibolo Creek Family!  Mrs. Maples is a 1994 graduate of Southwest Texas State University, long before it became Texas State.  She has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with certifications in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Self-Contained, ESL, Human Development & Family Studies, and is GT trained. 

Mrs. Maples loves teaching kindergarten and enjoys seeing the world through the eyes of her students.  Her goal is to provide students the social, academic, and life-skills necessary to be confident learners and successful, productive members of society.  Mrs. Maples truly believes that kindergarten lays the foundation for a child's attitude toward learning. Her classroom is a safe place to take risks, explore, discover, laugh, have fun, and grow! Mrs. Maples loves to sing and dance, read books, and get messy!

Mrs. Maples has been married to her husband, Tobin, since 1994.  They have three children together.  Their daughter, Haiden, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2021 and is currently living in India! Haideen is pursuing and academic course study in yoga, while attending online classes at UT, Arlignton to complete her Masters of Clinical Social Work.   Their twin sons, Tait and Teag, are college juniors.  Tait is an Esport student at UNT in Denton and Teag is attending university in Sweden, while playing profressional soccer!   Mrs. and Mr. Maples also have a precious little dog, named Hallie Daisy and 2 silly kitties, named Walter and Willow.  The Maples family enjoys spending time relaxing outside, playing with their pets, watching sports, and being with friends.
